The Castle-and-Park Complex in Krasiczyn
is situated in south-eastern Poland, in Podkarpackie province, 10 km
from the 1000-year-old town of Przemyśl, on the route from Przemyśl
into the Bieszczady Mountains. It is just 25 km from here to the
crossing in Medyka on the Ukrainian border. These borderland regions have a rich and extremely
varied cultural heritage. For centuries, the influences of the
Christian, Byzantine, and Jewish traditions permeated one another,
resulting in a uniquely colourful mosaic. There are also plenty of
places and historic buildings that shouldn't be missed. Besides magnate
seats, such as the Krasiczyn Castle, the region's treasures include
wooden architecture, including numerous Catholic and Orthodox churches.
Just across the border, in Ukraine, the wonderful city of Lviv awaits
tourists, with a whole multitude of charming sites.
