Child Protection Standards
We kindly inform you that in accordance with the amendment to the Family and Guardianship Code, additional provisions aimed at protecting minors who have become victims of violence (the so-called "Lex Kamilek" Act) came into force on February 15, 2024.
Under this Act, representatives of, among others, the hotel industry are obliged to identify the relationship between an adult guest and a child, i.e. to determine whether the adult is the parent/legal guardian of the minor they arrived with and whether the child is not exposed to danger in the given situation.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOU:
If the child to whom the reservation applies arrives at the hotel/facility and is checked in by a person who is not their parent or legal guardian, it is the reception staff's duty to require from that person the submission of
A PARENT'S/LEGAL GUARDIAN'S STATEMENT OF CONSENT FOR THE CHILD'S STAY UNDER THE CARE OF THAT PERSON
(a template of the letter is available on the website or can be sent to you upon request by the reception).
This situation applies not only to persons unrelated to the child, but also, among others, to grandparents or uncles of the minor who are not their legal guardians at that time.
We kindly ask for your understanding towards our staff, who according to the above-mentioned amendment, have been obliged (under threat of penalty) to identify the relationship between the child and the persons they appear with at the hotel/facility, but also carry out this obligation primarily out of concern for the welfare and safety of your children.
